USA EB5 INVESTOR VISA
The USA EB-5 investor visa is a type of visa that allows foreign investors and their immediate family members to obtain permanent residency in the United States. To qualify for an EB-5 visa, the investor must make a minimum investment of $1.8 million in a new commercial enterprise in the US, or $900,000 if the investment is made in a designated Targeted Employment Area (TEA) that is either rural or experiencing high unemployment.
The EB-5 program requires that the investment creates at least 10 full-time jobs for US workers within two years of the investment. The investor must also prove that the funds used for the investment were obtained legally and that they are at risk for the duration of the investment.
Once the investor receives conditional permanent residency, they can live and work in the United States for two years. After two years, the investor can apply to have the conditions removed and obtain permanent residency if they have maintained the investment and job creation requirements.
The EB-5 program is administered by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and has a limited number of visas available each year. Applicants should be prepared for a rigorous application process and should work with experienced professionals to navigate the requirements of the program.
