NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR

Labrador and Newfoundland are the most easterly Canadian provinces. The Norse archaeological site L’Anse aux Meadows, located on Newfoundland’s island, is the home of Leif Erikson, the Viking explorer. Gros Morne National Park is located on the Gulf of St Lawrence and features cliffs, waterfalls, and glacial fjords. The Signal Hill citadel from the 17th century, situated in St. John’s, is the capital of the southeastern city. It also has a hillside walking path.
